WHAT ARE THE OUTCOMES OF THIS STUDY PROGRAMME?

The aim of study program is to make qualified engineers of informatics, who have knowledge about modern IT, information systems of companies, graphical systems and image processing. Moreover, this study program gives knowledge how to be able at work professionally apply gained knowledge at the University.

 Study program is formed to form specialists of informatics by giving them the basics of fundamental sciences, basal and special informatics knowledge, and also to give basics of economics, law and business. In order to make qualified specialists of informatics, students of engineering informatics are provided with the following basics: mathematical analyses, theory of chances, basics of statistics and discrete mathematics. Furthermore, students study basal modules of informatics such as programming languages and algorithms, operating systems, architecture of computers, network of computers, engineering of program systems, systems of artificial intellect, programming of graphical systems.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

During the Engineering Informatics study programme students will learn to:

Evaluate new theories of informatics;
Apply methods and technologies of systems modulation and projection;
Project and install modern systems of programs;
Recognize, formulate and solve IT problems;
Work with IT;
Consult about IT issues;
Relate IT science with other fields.

Students will be aware of modern modeling, data extraction and operating methods. Moreover, students will be aware of architecture of modern computers and networks, newest technologies of computer systems, development of technological tendencies and principles of projection of systems.

What is more, students will learn how responsibly and self-dependently organize work, smoothly, sequentially and clearly express minds. Also, they will learn how to think logically, critically and constructively.

WHERE CAN YOU DO AN INTERNSHIP?

It is possible to do an intership in the following companies: SWEDBANK, SEB, DNB, TEO, IBM, EXIGEN, AFFECTO, CISCO, BDC, ALNA, BLUE BRIDGE, BALTIC AMADEUS, BENTLEY, MICROSOFT, GOOGLE, etc.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE

You will have plenty of opportunities to apply and diversity your skills through graduate projects, internships, career programmes, clubs and societies.

WHAT ARE THE CAREER OPPORTUNITIES AFTER GRADUATION?

After bachelor’s degree of informatics studies it is possible to work in the fields of informatics, engineering, economics and finances. During the studies students gain projection skills of computers and information systems. Therefore, such specialists are necessary not only in companies where computers are vitally important, but also in all organizations where employees generally work with computers.

 After engineering informatics study program students may work as analysts, projectors, programmers, IT consultants and as lecturers in the Universities or colleges, etc.
